Rules

The whole mechanism, in plain language. No asterisks.

The turn

One turn is 60 seconds holding position #1. Turns start on the minute, every minute, UTC.

There are 1,440 turns in a day. That is the entire inventory. We cannot make more, and we do not oversell them.

Buying

Turns are sold in bundles. Buying adds credits to your listing; credits never expire.

  • 5$5.00$1.00 / turn
  • 20$18.00$0.90 / turn
  • 60$50.00$0.83 / turn
  • 200$150.00$0.75 / turn

There is no $1 single turn. Card processing would take about a third of it, and we would rather not sell you something where the fee is the product.

Buying again on the same URL tops up the same listing. It never creates a second one.

The queue

Credits are scheduled by rotation, not by who paid most or who paid first. Whoever has gone longest without a turn goes next.

No listing holds the Spotlight for more than 3 minutes in a row while another listing has turns waiting.

Buying a large bundle buys you more turns, spread out. It does not buy you the board for an afternoon.

When nobody has credits for a minute, that minute is unsold and we say so. We do not invent a listing to fill it.

What money buys

Money buys display position. It never buys the link.

Paid Spotlight links carry rel="sponsored nofollow". Free listings on The Board carry rel="dofollow".

That is deliberate, and it is the honest way round. Selling followed links would mean selling search rankings, which breaks Google's policy on paid links and puts every listing here at risk. Selling attention does not.

What we publish

Every listing has a public receipt page showing turns served, clicks delivered, and the effective cost per click.

We publish those numbers whether they flatter us or not. A turn that delivered nothing is shown as a turn that delivered nothing. The figure on the homepage is the real 24-hour average, not a best case.

How clicks are counted

The whole method, so you can judge the numbers yourself:

  • One counted click per visitor, per listing, per hour. Clicking five times in ten minutes counts once.
  • Obvious bots are discarded by user-agent — crawlers, link previewers, scripts.
  • Raw IP addresses are never stored. We keep a salted hash, and the salt changes every day, so yesterday's hashes cannot be linked to today's.
  • A click is attributed to whichever turn was live when it happened, decided on our server. Clicks from The Board are counted separately and never added to Spotlight numbers.
  • Board clicks are undercounted. Board links point straight at their destination — that is what makes them genuinely dofollow — so we count them with a browser feature that some browsers, Firefox among them, switch off by default. Spotlight clicks go through our own redirect and are counted in full. If you are comparing the two numbers, the Board figure is a floor, not a measurement.

That is the entire method. There is no proprietary fraud scoring, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Heuristics tuned against traffic we haven't seen yet would mostly produce false negatives we couldn't detect and false positives that cost honest buyers. If the numbers ever look inflated to you, the method above is simple enough to argue with — and we would rather you argue with a published method than trust an unpublished one.

Refunds

Unserved turns are refundable, pro-rated, less payment processing fees. Turns already served are final — the attention was delivered and we cannot take it back.

Email support@timerbid.lol with your listing URL. A person reads it. At this volume that is not a shortcut, it is just how it should work.

What we reject

Adult content, invite and referral links, wallet drainers, and known scam patterns. We keep a blocklist and we will kill a listing without warning if it turns out to be one of these.

A listing's destination cannot be changed after it is created. If you need a different destination, that is a new listing. This exists so nobody can buy turns pointed at something harmless and swap the target once they reach the Spotlight.

Accounts

There are none. Receipt pages are public, so there is nothing to log into and nothing to protect. We email you a link to yours; that link is just a link.
